Fantasia International Film Festival is an annual event in Montreal, Canada, dedicated to international genre cinema. Established in 1996, it presents films spanning horror, fantasy, science fiction, action, animation and other unconventional forms, with a longstanding emphasis on cinema from Asia, Europe and the Americas. Its programme includes feature films, shorts, premieres, competitions, retrospectives and filmmaker events. The 30th edition runs from July 16 to August 2, 2026, marking three decades of the festival’s work in genre film exhibition.
