Humanity is living in a world full of "posts" - post-Trump, post-COVID, post-2020, etc. The world continues to prepare itself for a "new normal"...but what is that?
Normal could be anything from being a person of color trying to live a normal life after the Georgia elections or a post-apocalyptic vision of the world after a catastrophe. "New normal" can be interpreted in several ways.
The Council for Greater Arts of Lima, Ohio has returned to host their third annual Film Festival, FAVORITE FLIX FILM NIGHT PRESENTS NORMALISH in Lima, OH on November 4, 2021 with an open challenge to filmmakers from Ohio and surrounding states to exhibit their best interpretation of "The New Normal." Humanity is in a constant state of flux, sometimes beautiful, sometimes disastrous, but always in motion. It is the human condition that consistently moves towards anything and everything except "normal" and we want to see how you apply this idea to cinema.
A cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the Best Short Film.
All featured filmmakers will have the opportunity to host a brief Q&A to give details about the making and inspiration of their films.
