FICSAM International Mental Health Film Festival

FICSAM is a film and arts festival about mental health. Our goal is to sensitize the community for mental health issues throught diferent art aproaches. Beside new audiences, promote films we wish to contribute to inclusion of all that suffer with mental health issue. FICSAM will be held in a place that will be announced. Organized by the Association Collective Unconscious the 8th edition of the International Festival of Cinema and Mental Health | FICSAM will be held in Portugal. This event aims, through the arts, including film, contribute to sensitize the general public on issues related to mental health of individuals, fight stigma and discrimination associated with this type of problem and help to promote human rights people with mental illness. The FICSAM takes place annually in parallel with the celebrations of the World Mental Health Day.. Among the display of short and feature films of fiction, documentary, animation and video clips and films produced in national and international schools, the public can visit exhibitions and still participate in Workshops. O FICSAM - Festival Internacional de Cinema e Saúde Mental decorre em Portugal, em locais e datas a anunciar. O FICSAM pretende, através das artes, nomeadamente o cinema, contribuir para sensibilizar o público em geral para as questões relacionadas com a saúde mental dos indivíduos, combater o estigma e a discriminação associada a este tipo de problemáticas e contribuir para promover os direitos humanos das pessoas com doença mental. Entre a exibição de curtas e longas metragens de ficção, documentário, animação e videoclip e de filmes realizados em escolas nacionais e internacionais, o público poderá visitar exposições e ainda participar nem Workshops.
