It has a main objective the promotion and dissemination of short films that will contribute to the development of filmmakers in the seventh art. Likewise motivate production through its competitions and awards, and finally to provide a meeting place for all those lovers of short films and animations from around the world. From the silver screen to the computer screen: Film Miami Fest goes virtual The 7th annual festival will be a mostly digital affair Covid-19 closures mean there won't be any big-screen showings for this year's C Film Festivals. But the annual event is moving forward — in virtual form for the second time. The festival, now in its 7th season, kicks off online December 4-5, 2021. The event spans 2 days, and will feature more than 70 films. We needed a little more time to prepare after the novel corona virus arrived, closing movie theaters across the state and rendering large gatherings impossible. We will be launching a virtual theater, which allows audiences to watch films from their computer or television screens, and also they will part of the voting system. We will continue showcasing the best of the best in Miami, United States. We will open to the world for everyone to watch and vote for the best of the best from each Film Festival.
