FIRST FRAME: THE EMERGING LATINO FILMMAKERS MISSION & OBJECTIVE Fuse’s First Frame offers the opportunity for independent American Latino writers, directors and producers to submit their original short films to a nationally televised and digital platform. Through First Frame, Fuse seeks to celebrate the talent, dedication and cultural voice of these artists and aims to pave the way for an expanded multicultural vision in the world of cinema. ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Fuse is proud to present First Frame: The Emerging Latino Filmmakers. Through an online national submission and search, Latino independent filmmakers – writers, directors and producers alike – will have the opportunity to submit their original works. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts with selections and filmmaker profiles featured in a special presentation on Fuse in Q4 2015. If selected and exhibited in full, films will receive an acquisition license fee of up to $1,000. Fuse intends to showcase at least 4 short films for the 2015 presentation. IMPORTANT: First Frame is only accepting short film projects (total running time of 40 minutes or less). Fuse intends to screen the selected films during Q4 2015. Please check our deadlines for when to submit by to qualify for each year. In addition, Fuse only notifies accepted films, but feel free to email us a month after each deadline to confirm submission of status.
