International Videodance Festival of Chile FIVC, is an independent festival, promoter of the Screendance in Chile, born in Santiago in 2008, which realized its first version in January of 2009. The Festival is a non-competitive contest, which is held nationally and internationally, and aims to encourage the creation of Dance on screen - Screendance - through the dissemination of artists and works from around the world, as well as encourage reflection and training through their parallel activities. From its beginnings, FIVC maintains a program of collaboration and roaming, national and international, through its program FIVC ON TOUR; where is showed an important part of its official selection in other cities of Chile, collaborates with other festivals associated to international networks of Dance on screen, and makes own arrangements for the exhibition of the Festival abroad. FIVC is a co-founder of the REDIV Ibero-American Videodance Network with 12 other entities of the region. +++ Festival Internacional de Videodanza Chile FIVC, es un festival independiente, propulsor de la danza en pantalla chilena, nacido en Santiago el 2008, y que realizó su primera versión en Enero del 2009. El Festival es un certamen no competitivo, que realiza una convocatoria nacional e internacional, y tiene como objetivo incentivar la creación de Danza en Pantalla – Screendance- a través de la difusión de artistas y obras del todo el mundo, así como fomentar la reflexión y formación, a través de sus actividades paralelas. Desde sus inicios, FIVC mantiene un programa de colaboración e itinerancia nacional e internacional, a través de su programa FIVC ON TOUR, donde exhibe una parte importante de su selección oficial en otras ciudades de Chile, colabora con otros festivales asociados a redes internacionales de Danza en pantalla, y realiza gestiones propias para la exhibición del Festival en el extranjero. FIVC es co-fundador de la Red Iberomaericana de Videodanza REDIV junto a otras 12 entidades de la región.
