Fling! Film Festival

Fling! celebrates the best in youth film whether fiction, documentary or adventure. In 2017 we are keen to highlight films that express unique visions and the experiences of young people in the modern world. If you make films, want to make films then please submit for 2017. All short films are screened prior to our main features as well as in our new second screening room. The Fling! Film festival is an event that showcases the work of young film makers from across the world and the best in cinema. The festival is held in the idyllic scenery of Tain in the Scottish Highlands. Hundreds of people participated in the workshops and came to watch the shorts and feature films. We considered 2015 a resounding success but due to organisational issues and much needed change to the calendar we skipped 2016 and changed venues. We also selected eighteen short pictures made by young people under the age of 25. These have been selected as part of a competition which saw Fling’s organisers receive 661 entries from 69 countries. As part of the programme we also run film-making workshops.
