Force For Good Film Festival for High School Students

The University of Notre Dame Department of Film, Television, and Theatre, in cooperation with the Office of Pre College Programs, seeks to showcase and encourage creative students nationally, by presenting the FORCE FOR GOOD Film Festival. An opportunity for high school students to use their cell phones as film cameras in a positive manner. A creative showcase, and a national competition to win a scholarship to Notre Dame’s two-week summer program, Summer Scholars. https://precollege.nd.edu/ In 1842, Rev. Edward F. Sorin founded the University of Notre Dame du Lac. This University, Sorin predicted, will become “a powerful force for good”. 150 years later in 1992, IBM invented the world's first smartphone, Simon. In 2020, Sorin's vision and Simon's technology join together for the 3rd annual FORCE FOR GOOD Film Festival. A film festival for high school students and their phones. The Force For Good Film Festival was created to encourage high school students to use their personal cell phones as creative tools, by making short films with positive messages.
