FRIGHTFEST

FrightFest was founded to provide the UK with a fantasy and horror film festival similar to the market leaders in Europe and the US. The festival, now entering its 23rd year, has evolved into a community that audiences and guests alike travel from all over the world each March, August and October to be part of the event’s unique atmosphere. Away from our August London event, which in 2022 runs from 25 to August 29, the festival also stages a Halloween extravaganza and hosts a three-day Terror-a-thon in Scotland, FrightFest Glasgow. This event is part of the Glasgow Film Festival, and the dates for 2022 are 10, 11 and 12 March. We are currently accepting submissions for our five-day FrightFest event in August 2022. There are two deadlines. Feature submissions close at 11.59 PM on June 1 and shorts at 11.59 on July 1, 2022. Features selected for August are announced each year in early July, and films for inclusion in our three short film showcases in early August.
