FunFest - International Video Festival (Madeira Island)

Please, MAKE SURE you submit ONE film only and UNDER THESE CONDITIONS: - YOU MUST BE A STUDENT OR AT LEAST ONE PARTICIPANT IN YOUR FILM MUST BE CURRENTLY A STUDENT. - STUDENTS' ID CARD IS REQUIRED. - FILMS WITH EXPLICIT VIOLENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The International Video Festival - FUNFEST is a video contest which will take place in May 5th in the beautiful Madeira Island, Portugal. it is an initiative and a co-organization of the Library Management Center and the Audiovisual Production Center, both under the direction of the Department of Research, Communication and Editions of the Conservatory - Escola Profissional das Artes Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode (Madeira Island Arts School), which aims to stimulate creativity and interest in audiovisual production among students around the world. FUNFEST main goals: - Promote versatile skills among students regarding audiovisual production, namely literary, historical, cultural, musical, scenic and linguistic; - Encourage the production of artistic videos related to regional, national, European or global matters, as a way of rising awareness in the school community to current affairs; - Promote reading, information, digital and media literacy, from a peer perspective and from youth to youth; - Create diverse and youth-oriented educational tools to promote citizenship, active participation and critical thinking. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = O Concurso Internacional de Vídeo - FUNFEST terá lugar a 5 de maio na bela Ilha da Madeira, Portugal. É uma iniciativa e coorganização do Núcleo de Gestão de Bibliotecas e do Núcleo de Produção Audiovisual, ambos sob a alçada da Direção de Serviços de Investigação, Comunicação e Edições do Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode, que visa estimular a criatividade e o interesse pela produção audiovisual entre estudantes de todo o mundo. O concurso FUNFEST tem como principais objetivos: - Potenciar a aquisição de competências multifacetadas, subjacentes à produção audiovisual, designadamente literárias, históricas, culturais, musicais, cénicas e linguísticas; - Encorajar a produção de vídeos relacionados com temáticas regionais, nacionais, europeias e até mundiais, como forma de sensibilizar a comunidade escolar para questões da atualidade; - Promover a literacia da leitura, a literacia da informação, a literacia digital e até literacia dos media, numa perspetiva entre pares, de jovens para jovens; - Criar instrumentos diversificados e de interesse juvenil, de promoção da cidadania, participação ativa e pensamento crítico.
