GIFF was successfully inaugurated in Gangneung, which is located on the eastern coast of Korea. A resort city, Gangneung is well known for its beautiful nature and cultural heritage, and serves as a home to Korean traditional arts and literature. Today, Gangneung’s natural beauty and cultural legacy still continue to inspire many contemporary filmmakers and writers.
