GLOWFEST+

The 3rd Annual GLOW TELEVISION & WEBSERIES FESTIVAL is a unique bi-coastal showcase of independent, narrative original web series, animations, scripted and unscripted pilot presentations, and stand-alone episodic series, podcasts and music videos with a writer, director, cast, or theme of a diverse voice. This includes creatives of diverse backgrounds, including ethnicity, culture, women, and members of the LGBTQ community. The festival is a nationwide search for distinctive storytelling and diverse talent, in front of, and behind the camera. Semi-finalist screenings are held July in private with industry veterans, and a grand finale awards ceremony will be hosted virtually via Instagram LIVE! The festival hosts a series of virtual events. For years, we have celebrated up and coming directors, writers, producers and actors, introducing them to top industry trendsetters, and awarding prizes ranging from sponsored packages to development meetings. This is a wonderful, young and refreshing experience highlighting the culture of digital content and building a platform for underserved content creators. Friday, March 5th 2021: We will be hosting our annual GLOW Fest Opening Show Saturday, March 6th 2021: GLOW Television & Webseries Screenings via YouTube 11:00am - 1:00pm: Webseries/Foreign/Student Selections 1:00pm - 1:30pm: GLOW Intermission Mixer 1:30pm - 3:30pm: Drama/Comedy Selections 3:30pm - 4:00pm: Refreshment Intermission 4:00pm - 7:00pm: The GLOW "Industry Panel" & Awards Ceremony Each category will be given a screening time slot for their shows. Each show will have a short introduction included in their screening time slots. Each show will be screened at the time slots issued by GLOW Fest staff. NO GLOW VIP Wrap Party at The Room in Hollywood this year due to COVID-19 GLOW Television & Webseries Festival Selection Process SUBMIT YOUR SHOW Submissions are now open until July. ROUND ONE We will screen all submissions, and select the Top 100 shows. ROUND TWO The Top 100 shows will be narrowed down to the Top 40 by a team of XXITXXIX and VMMG creative executives. The Top 40 will be given a "Official Selection" for his or her television show or web-series. SEMI-FINAL ROUND The Top 40 shows selected will be posted on glownow.org and trailers will be screened live at our festival for public viewing. The Top 18 out of 40 shows will automatically advance to the final round. 18 shows will be given a "Semifinalist" Notification from FilmFreeway and full episodes will be screened at the festival. Judges from XXITXXIX, VMMG, and other celebrity judges will determine four (4) talent contestants: Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Writer for the Final Round and the Top Five (5) shows picking (1) show from each category: Comedy, Drama, Webseries and Foreign Webseries and Breakout Series. We will also giving out awards to Nominees and Official Selections. (1) "Next Up" bonus category will be added for student shows ONLY. FINAL ROUND The Top 5 finalists will receive the grand prize package for their projects and a short Q&A after their show is screened. The Top 4 talent finalists will receive the grand prize package for their passion and on-screen performances. The Top student projects will receive a job placement with XXITXXIX LLC. after the completion of their degree programs. WINNER ANNOUNCED On Feb 2021 the winners will be announced via Instagram.
