God Country Family Christian Film Festival

God Country Family is a unique film festival established to showcase the work of filmmakers who deal with stories, themes, morals, and beliefs that are often ignored or even mocked by much of today's popular culture. As the fest's name suggests, we want to provide a welcoming space for cinema that deals with issues of faith; films that present the importance of patriotism; and stories that celebrate family life. Those ideals and relationships which are the foundations of a healthy and vibrant culture. If your film or script fits any of the three (3) below types, then we want to consider it for God Country Family Film Festival. (Narrative feature films and documentaries, short films, music videos, TV and web content, as well as unproduced screenplays are all welcome.) 1: We're looking for films from all around the world that celebrate the power of faith: Life affirming stories that demonstrate the redemptive power of the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Movies that examine the challenges and triumphs of being a Christian in the world, either in contemporary or historical times. We also hope to see films that uphold Biblical principles as well as films that examine and support the history and prophecy recorded in the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation. 2: We want to see films that celebrate traditional American values and experiences: That unique national ethos that makes America exceptional. The dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The sacrifices of America's armed forces and police to protect our families and freedoms. The hard work of farmers, ranchers, businessmen, tradesmen, miners, factory workers and all those who keep American agriculture and industry turning across this great land. Stories that reflect the values of our unique founding documents: The US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Movies about the ongoing battles to preserve those God given rights that are codified in the Bill of Rights: Religious liberty, freedom of speech, due process under the law, and freedom from tyranny. 3: We believe that the nuclear family - husband, wife, children - is the core and single most important unit of a nation's greater society. So we want to recognize this by screening films from all around the world that are appropriate for all ages: Family films, children's films, as well as films that reflect traditional family values. Stories with strong and positive messages: perhaps about the importance of faith, family, friendship, community, team spirit, loyalty, honesty or honor. Films that show the need for strong moral foundations and domestic stability in raising a family. Films about familial bonds that traverse generations. As well as films that examine threats to these traditions.
