The GRAND JUNCTION FILM FESTIVAL, GJFF for short, is great for emerging and veteran filmmakers alike! Celebrating Colorado filmmakers of all genres, and innovative works from across the United States and internationally, GJFF takes pride in offering an exciting experience through film and community.
Set in the biggest city on the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado, the Grand Junction Film Festival is a celebration of filmmakers. We're proud to feature panels including representatives from Rocky Mountain PBS, the Colorado Film Commission, SAG-AFTRA and celebrity filmmakers available for free to attendees. We also offer free hands on workshops with subjects such as stage combat, practical effects, and film technique.
Hosted at the Historic Avalon Theater in the heart of downtown Grand Junction, attendees immediately immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Western Colorado. Nestled in the newly formed Creative District, festival goers have easy access to award winning restaurants and breweries, the largest outdoor sculpture collection between New York and Los Angeles, as well as horseback riding, mountain biking, and river rafting. Closing out Grand Junction's Art Fest Weekend, GJFF brings filmmakers, and those that love the adventure of getting outdoors together.
