GMIFF showcases a variety of independent short films of all genres, from all countries, with an emphasis on supporting new filmmakers from underrepresented communities. We want to find truly unique voices and share powerful stories.
Every quarter (3 months), the GMIFF jury selects winners in a variety of overall and performance/production categories through private screenings. All overall award-winning films will be publicly screened during our annual festival in the Green Mountains, where one film per category will be selected as winner, and one film will be named Best of Fest.
GMIFF strives to create a truly unique experience and honor each filmmaker's work. Our festival is an opportunity to earn recognition for your work, network with other talented indie filmmakers, and enjoy a diverse selection of short films.
At this point, the event is tentatively scheduled for January 2022.
