The 2nd HellaCon Short Film Festival (sponsored by The Evening Class) is focused on showcasing films that pack a powerful and creative punch in a short amount of time. No matter the genre, all shorts between :01 and 9:59 will be considered. Live judging to award the top three films (and an additional audience award) will occur during HellaCon -- Sat., November 5th 2016. Guest Judges: - Esther Pearl (Founder of Camp Reel Stories, formerly at Pixar Animation Studios working on "The Incredibles", "Wall-E", and "Monsters, Inc.") - Jesse Eisenhardt (award-winning director/cinematographer, 1st Place/Audience Award winner from the 1st Annual HellaCon Short Film Festival -- "Scary Mary: A Chronicle of Terror") - Mel Valentin (San Francisco Film Critics Circle and Online Society of Film Critics member) - Pam Grady (San Francisco Chronicle movie correspondent) - Zaki Hasan (San Francisco Film Critics Circle member, show-runner for The MovieFilm Podcast and Zaki's Corner)
