We can finally announce the event date in the NEW amazing location of TALLERES PALERMO in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria): 28 Nov '21 starting at 19:30 English: Daniele Arturi is an engineer with a passion for writing; in the recent years he has taken part as an extra in 3 horror films ('Tales to tell in the Dark' by Lorenzo Zanoni, '61: scorecard killer' by Poison Rouge and 'Confessions of a Necrophile girl' by Cristopharo) and, subsequently, he played two more as lead actor ('The house guest', 'Blue Sunset' both directed by Domiziano Cristopharo). Domiziano Cristopharo “The Italian baron of bold, sensual and extreme horror”, according to the international press. He’s been the first Italian director in years to try and revive the erotic/horror film genre. With more than 30 movies to his credit, he probably is the most prolific independent Italian director currently active. He has frequently been defined as a perfect mix of Dario Argento and Federico Fellini, for the vintage quality of his aesthetics, married to an extreme, shocking, and yet classic narrative style. Both decided to dedicate this festival to the most exciting, shocking, underground side of cinema: the one that involves Horror and Sci-Fi movies, screened into the setting of Gran Canaria, an island as fascinating as mysterious! Special guest/Juror 2021: Andrea Cavaletto - Screenwriter well known for films like HIDDEN IN THE WOODS and DIRTY LOVE by Patricio Valladares, DOLL SYNDROME and XPIATION by Domiziano Cristopharo and BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE by Amerigo Brini. Nicola Vitale Materi - Producer and Screenwriter He is currently involved – as a producer as much as a screenwriter – in developing film and television projects for international distribution. Recently, he was entrusted with developing the film and television arm of Giunti. Giunti is Italy’s third publishing group, embraces all types of publishing, and heads a 180 bookshops network in Italy. He collaborated with Italian broadcasters such as RAI, Canale 10 and Video Firenze, producing commercials and corporate videos, a feature film, web series and short films, some of them awarded with prizes in renowned festivals. Last, but not least, special juror and patroness of the event, we have Mirella D'Angelo, actress well known for the role of Livia in Tinto Brass' CALIGOLA or Circe in Luigi Cozzi's HERCULES, but consecrated to Olympus of horror with the iconic role of Tilde in Dario Argento's DARKNESS. _________________________________________________________________ Español: Daniele Arturi es un ingeniero apasionado por la escritura; en los últimos años ha participado como extra en dos películas de terror ('Tales to tell in the Dark' de Lorenzo Zanoni y '61: scorecard killer' de Poison Rouge) y, posteriormente, interpretó a dos más como protagonista ('The house guest','Blue Sunset'ambas dirigidas por Domiziano Cristopharo). Ha sido el primer director italiano en años en intentar revivir el género del cine erótico / de terror. Con más de 30 películas en su haber, probablemente sea el director italiano independiente más prolífico en activo en la actualidad. Con frecuencia se le ha definido como una mezcla perfecta de Dario Argento y Federico Fellini, por la calidad vintage de su estética, casado con un estilo narrativo extremo, impactante y, sin embargo, clásico. Ambos decidieron dedicar este festival a la vertiente underground más apasionante, impactante y underground del cine: la de las películas de terror y ciencia ficción, proyectada en el escenario de Gran Canaria, ¡una isla tan fascinante como misteriosa! Tenemos como madrina y jurado especial del evento Mirella D'Angelo, actriz conocida por el papel de "Livia" en CALIGOLA de Tinto Brass o "Circe" en HERCULES de Luigi Cozzi, pero consagrada al Olimpo del horror como la icónica Tilde en TENEBRE de Dario Argento.
