Imajitari - International Dance Film Festival

The IMAJITARI Festival is a dance film festival program initiated by the DKJ Dance Committee (Jakarta Arts Council) in 2018. Dance film is an extension of choreographic practice related to cinematography in motion. It is also known as a genre that allows interdisciplinary practice (a medium) as an extension of spatial notions of the body, expanding into increasingly complex contemporary social problems. In addition to holding a dance film screening program, IMAJITARI Festival includes curatorial programs such as special screenings and discussions, envisioning the festival as not simply a screening window but also a program that enables critical knowledge exchange.
