INDIE MEME FILM FESTIVAL - IMFF@Austin

Started in 2016, IMFF@austin is Indie Meme's signature event. The 7th Indie Meme Film Festival will also be hosted in a hybrid format - in-person & virtually in April 2022. Awarded the “Best International Passport -2016" by The Austin Chronicle, the Indie Meme Film Festival continues to grow as the 'go to' destination for unique, powerful stories from South Asia right in the heart of Texas. Cinema enthusiasts come to watch the carefully curated programming to experience slices of life from countries like India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Singapore, Malaysia and Bhutan. There is interaction with the filmmakers in attendance (virtually when in person attendance is not possible) - who are our real stars. Indie Meme Film Festival aims to entertain and engage the community by showcasing different perspectives through the lens of contemporary filmmakers from South Asia as well as South Asian film makers across the globe.
