Welcome to Indie Shorts Awards CANNES //TOP 20 MOST POPULAR FESTIVAL OUT OF MORE THAN 10000 FILM FESTIVALS. A competition with LIVE SCREENINGS and USD 6000 in cash prizes per year. Indie Shorts Awards Cannes is an IMDb qualifying event with Public Screenings dedicated to international short films of all genres, aiming to find new voices and perspectives to celebrate the power of a good story. We are committed to bring the best of worldwide cinema. A celebration of the best cinema with USD 6000 cash prizes per year in awards. All the Official Selection films will compete for the Best Short of the Season (quarterly special award) and will receive a cash prize of USD 1500. In our opening year we were amazed by films from outstanding directors and breathtaking casts including : Kevin Bacon, Golden Globe winner Kyra Sedgwick, Pauline Chalamet, Ricardo Darín, Oscar nominees Jude Law, Brenda Blethyn and so many more . We also enjoyed the new visions of directors like Sylvain Begert, Constance Tsang, Katrine Brocks ,Phyllis Tam. No other city in Europe honors the cinema as Cannes does, living and breathing throughout the year under the lights of cinema. It is a unique and picturesque historic location along the French Riviera where you can experience the entirety of the fantastic film world. Since 1939, it has been “the” city of cinema, where you can find as much talent as the stars that it welcomes and without any doubt is the number-one international market for filmmakers. All main category award winning films will be screened in our public Event. All tickets for this live screening will be complimentary for filmmakers and for the audience. Furthermore, the films from the Official Selection will be screened in our quarterly Online Virtual Events and will compete for the quarterly cash prizes. We are willing to screen your film amongst diverse audiences in order to support you in developing your uprising career, therefore in addition to our public Event in the city of Cannes, we will be launching quarterly virtual online screenings where viewers from all around the world who hold a ticket or invitation will be able to watch the films. Filmmakers will receive courtesy tickets to watch their shorts blocks. Our professional screeners will privately review your film each quarterly season and the highest scored films will become part of the Official Selection. Then, our international jury will award the best projects of each season. All of them will receive the Official Laurel and an Achievement Certificate and the main categories winners will compete for the Cash Prize Award for the Best Short of All. Winner announcements as well as filmmakers interviews and Q&A will be released through our social media to help promote your film. We know the importance of having a full house cinema. This is why we are committed to promoting filmmaker’s projects. We consider each event an opportunity for networking with other artists and people from the industry.
