The International Buddhist Film Festival (IBFF) is the world's leading resource for the best in Buddhist cinema, the choice of independent filmmakers from over 20 countries. IBFF has been presented in over a dozen cities on three continents; over 350 films screened, reaching over 100,000 attendees. Premieres include Khyentse Norbu's Travellers & Magicians, Werner Herzog's Wheel of Time, Leslie Ann Patten's Words of My Perfect Teacher, Pema Tseden's The Silent Holy Stones, Diego Rafecas' Un Buda, Sunil Ariyaratne's Uppalavana, Werner Penzel's Zen for Nothing, Dechen Roder's Honeygiver Among the Dogs, and many more. IBFF has an Open Call for Entries year round, no deadline; events take place in various cities throughout the year. This year (2021), due to the pandemic, there is a submission deadline, and this edition of the festival is planned as a hybrid in-person and online event.
