John Wayne Film Festival Youth Film Contest Rules 2015 The John Wayne Film Festival (JWFF) will be in Dallas, Texas on September 24-27, 2015. JWFF will be located at Highland Park Village and Look Cinemas. The JWFF includes screenings of multiple John Wayne movies, a Youth Film Contest, an art walk and many other activities. One of the key goals of the JWFF event is to grow the John Wayne legacy by introducing the next generation of film makers to John Wayne. John Wayne is America’s favorite movie star of all time so it is natural to include a John Wayne themed youth film contest to grow the legacy. An example of John Wayne’s popularity is that he was voted #2 on the Harris Poll for America’s favorite actor in 2014 and he is the only actor to appear on the poll since it started, for 20 consecutive years.
