The format (online, physical or a blended festival) of the event is still to be confirmed. KIFF is dedicated to bringing new cultural experiences through film to a Kerry audience. Through our annual Film Festival, our goal is to create new and diverse film experiences, create a hub of film creativity & appreciation by champion the work of local and international filmmakers, both established and emerging. We pride ourself on clear communication, always being open with our filmmakers and being a supportive home for first time filmmakers, emerging filmmakers and new festival goers. Over the past 22 years KIFF has become a vital element of Kerry’s cultural landscape offering a unique film experience to the local community as well as creating a ‘must attend’ cultural tourism event for visitors to the county. KIFF is renowned for celebrating and supporting the work of emerging filmmaking talent through a well established short film competition that has been supported and endorsed by luminaries from the world of film such as Cillian Murphy, Paul Greengrass, Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson, and Gabriel Byrne. Our feature film selection continues to grow and we are truly excited by debut, independent and/or Irish new Irish. Partnerships with Screen Ireland, IFTA, Film Network Ireland and KETB Film Office help KIFF provide an exciting industry line up of talks panels and networking events. All in aid of supporting the medium of film and filmmakers. KIFF 2020 was proud to present its 21st edition of the festival online. Our online streaming platform is a secure, geo-locked, paywalled site, powered by shift72, providing a professional and user friendly service.
