Kitakyushu 48 Film Competition

OUR MISSION We want to celebrate the art of film-making with this 48 hour film-making competition! Open to any filmmaker all over the world, from the the most experienced to very beginners! OUR FESTIVAL Filmmakers have two days to write, shoot, edit and deliver a film. A films completed during the 48 hour period will be screened in eligible for the cash prizes. HOW IT WORKS Open to any filmmaker, from basic beginners to seasoned pros, everyone competes on equal footing. Films can be shot on any format, including phone. On Friday at 7: 00 PM we will give you the theme for the film, two sentences (one in English and one in Japanese) that must be spoken or appear on screen during your film, we will also give you a list of three props that must be used in the film. All films must be received by us Sunday at 6:59 PM (Japan Standard Time). We will screen the films for a live audience and award plaques and cash prizes to the Best Film ( ¥ 30,000), Best Film Made in Japan ( ¥ 30,000) and Best Film Made in Kitakyushu ( ¥ 30,000). We will award an Audience Choice Award ( ¥ 10,000) as chosen by the live audience. ALL films will be shown on our YouTube channel and WINNING FILMS will also be screened in competition at Golden Harvest Online Film Festival and in competition at Rising Sun International Film Festival. Winners residing in Japan will get complimentary round trip travel and hotel to Kitakyushu City to attend Rising Sun International Film Festival.
