UPDATE: DUE TO THE ONGOING CRISIS WE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE 1. KURZFILMFEST DREILÄNDERECK FOR ONE YEAR. THE CURRENT DISTANCE REGULATION FOR CINEMAS ARE TO STRICT AND EVERY WEEK NEW HOTSPOTS POP UP HERE IN GERMANY. RIGHT NOW THIS IS TOO RISKY FOR US TO GO ON WITH THE FESTIVAL PLANNING FOR A FESTIVAL IN 3 MONTHS. SO LET'S HOPE EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL IN ONE YEAR. THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE WAS EXTENDED TO MAY 2021 AND IS STILL WITHOUT SUBMISSION FEES. ------------------ FOR GERMAN SEE BELOW: The Bavarian Forest tri-border region is situated in the heart of Europe. Parts of the Bavarian Forest on the German side, the Bohemian Forest on the Czech side and the Mühlviertel on the Austrian side border each other here. The region around its landmarks, Mount Haidel (1,167 m) and the Dreisessel (1,333 m), is one of the most untouched forest areas in Europe and is also one of the most popular hiking destinations in Bavaria. The Short Film Festival in the Bavarian Forest Tri-Border Region is taking place here for the first time. Over three days, short films from Germany and its neighbouring countries Austria and the Czech Republic will be shown at the town of Freyung’s Freybühne stage. Filmmakers from Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic can still submit their works until 31 May 2021. A jury will choose the best short film out of all the films nominated, as well as the film with the best acting performance. An audience award will also be presented. All prizes also have a cash prize attached. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Das Dreiländereck Bayerischer Wald liegt mitten im Herzen Europas. Teile des Bayerischen Waldes auf deutscher, des Böhmerwaldes auf tschechischer und des Mühlviertels auf österreichischer Seite grenzen hier aneinander. Die Region rund um seine Wahrzeichen, dem Berg Haidel (1.167m) und dem Dreisessel (1.333 m), zählt zu den unberührtesten Waldgebieten Europas und ist außerdem eines der beliebtesten Wanderziele in Bayern. Zum ersten Mal findet hier das Kurzfilmfestival im Dreiländereck des Bayerischen Waldes statt. An 3 Tagen präsentieren wir in der Freybühne der Stadt Freyung Kurzfilme aus Deutschland und seinen Nachbarländern Österreich und Tschechien. Noch bis zum 31. Mai 2021 können Filmemacher aus den Ländern Deutschland, Österreich und Tschechien ihre Werke einreichen. Aus allen nominierten Filmen wählt eine Jury den besten Kurzfilm sowie den Film mit der besten darstellerischen Leistung. Des Weiteren wird ein Publikumspreis vergeben. Alle Preise sind zusätzlich mit einem Geldpreis verbunden.
