It runs four competitions: a Southeast Asian competition for professional and student work by directors from the region, an International Professional competition, an International Student competition and a Children's competition. Curated special programmes, some of them from partner festivals, feature screenings, workshops, masterclasses, talks, an exhibition and an art market run alongside the competitions. The festival grows out of Beyond Animation, an event organised by the French Embassy in Thailand from 2022 to 2024, and is run by Klowerº, an animation and sound artist duo, together with the animation company Graphy Animation. The dates of the first edition are 10–21 September 2025: it is centred at the Thai Film Archive in Salaya and extends to partner venues in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Ang Thong.
