Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival

Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival, produced by Fifth Ground Entertainment Inc. in association with Lakeshore Arts, will celebrate its landmark tenth Anniversary at The Assembly Hall, 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr. (Kipling Ave. & Lake Shore Blvd. W.), Toronto on Friday, September 24th and Saturday September 25th. Blue Carpet arrivals for the Loved and Local and Gala Performance begin at (and doors open) at 6:30 PM for a pre-performance reception featuring refreshments, appetizers and live music. The screening begins at 7:30 pm. The Family Screening begins at 12:15p.m. on Saturday, September 25th. Tickets are $70 each for the Gala and include the after-party. Loved and Local Tickets are $50.00 each and include an after screening Social. They are available through the Lakeshore Arts office at 2422 Lakeshore Blvd. West or by calling 416-201-7093. – Tickets are available to the General Public in April via the website at www.lakeshorts.ca The Lakeshorts Festival is proud to announce a 10th anniversary special screening at its sister Festival Grand River Shorts which will premiere in Paris, Ontario on September 17th, 2021. A distinguished jury will program all screenings to include short films from around the world. From comedy to genre films to compelling dramas, Lakeshorts brings the world of cutting-edge independent filmmaking to South Etobicoke and Paris, while paying special attention to our very own homegrown talent! This year The Festival looks forward to increased networking and panel opportunities for the filmmakers and general public in celebration of its tenth anniversary as well as the 2nd annual Family friendly screening. Lakeshorts is spearheaded by Canadian actress, Michelle Nolden, & Film and Television producer, Chris Szarka. Nolden and Szarka have been longtime supporters of the many grass-roots initiatives organized by Lakeshore Arts. “Over the past ten years we have watched this Festival grow into a favourite of South Etobicoke Residents. We are honored to bring our passion for film to our neighbours and expanding the Festival to the amazing community of Paris, Ontario -while making the world aware of our rich artistic life here in Southern Ontario.
