MCNY International Short Film & Video Festival invites all filmmakers to submit original short films, web series episodes, music videos & docs under 10 minutes, of any genre. NEW THIS YEAR - WE WANT YOUR WEB SERIES EPISODES, MUSIC VIDEOS & OTHER VIDEO-INSPIRED ART! We seek films that align with the theme: Coming of Age during the Social Media Era If your project is selected, it will be screened live on - March 27, 2019 in New York City, from 6-9PM at Metropolitan College of New York :: 60 West Street, New York, NYC, downtown near the financial district. We want to see your: Instagram Stories Web Series episodes (or pilot) Music Videos Short Films Short Documentary Video - featuring your Song Submissions will be accepted through 3/13/2019, or until 100 entries have been submitted – whichever comes first. MCNY Short Film & Video Festival aims to show the very best in high quality, diverse, independent cinema from NY, the surrounding area and around the world. This festival embraces diversity, dignity, inclusion & social justice. Gratuitous profanity, nudity, hateful or violent content will definitely not be selected. ACBSP accredited MBA in Media Management at MCNY is a unique Purpose Centered Education program geared towards achievement-oriented, media professionals. Our film, video and media makers start their own businesses & work at prominent media companies, worldwide. The curriculum balances traditional MBA competencies with those particular to the media industry. NETWORKING: Accepted filmmakers have access to the other talented filmmakers at the festival, and the network of media professionals that teach at MCNY and are affiliated with the school, and will appear to speak. The lineup of films and panelist is provocative and fun – you’re destined to leave with a notebook full of strategies and the inspiration for your projects. 2. THE PROCESS: We take to heart the amount of work put into each film. Therefore, we are careful to ensure that each movie is reviewed at least twice. We like to be transparent in our process and judge the theme and story over the production value. At the festival itself, if your film is selected, it will play to a live audience. 3. THE CITY: There's a reason why New York City is the first choice for indie movies - New York is rich with culture, moxie, talented filmmakers and awesome food trucks. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and diverse community celebrating voices and stories that have been overlooked in traditional media. You’ll meet like-minded artists pushing the boundaries of media through plot, story selection, casting and POV who want to change the face of media to reflect our diversity.
