MED-LIMES, "Ai Confini del Mediterraneo"

Med-Limes “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo”, Immagini e racconti dai confini del Mediterraneo è una Rassegna Internazionale del Cortometraggio promossa dalla FONMED – “Fondazione Sud per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo nel Mediterraneo” e che si svolgerà per la Quarta edizione dal 28 al 30 maggio e dal 10 al 12 settembre 2021 a Salerno. Med-Limes “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo” pone l’attenzione sui temi caldi della nostra epoca. Il dramma dell’immigrazione, la scarsità di risorse idriche e alimentari per soddisfare il fabbisogno di milioni di individui, la discriminazione nei confronti delle altre culture sono i temi e i contenuti su cui si basano le produzioni cinematografiche che sono invitate a partecipare alla manifestazione. I temi della Rassegna riprendono i Sustainable Development Goals, 17 obiettivi che sono stati pensati dall’ONU come parte di un programma di sviluppo sostenibile per migliorare la vita di tutti i popoli del pianeta in modo universale, inclusivo e indivisibile. Si è scelto lo strumento della rassegna cinematografica nella forma del cortometraggio indipendente perché tale scelta è sembrata più consona ai temi che l’evento vuole trattare. La discriminazione razziale, l’inquinamento dell’ambiente, la scarsità di cibo sono temi collegati su cui registi emergenti e affermati possono creare intrecci che facciano riflettere, immedesimare, smuovere coscienze. Infatti, nonostante la crisi che il cinema sta attraversando negli ultimi decenni, rimane ancora molto forte il suo potere comunicativo. Esso è diretta fonte di emozioni, sentimenti, riesce ancora a veicolare messaggi densi di contenuto. Gli obiettivi generali che la Rassegna Internazionale del cortometraggio Med-Limes “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo” si propone di perseguire sono: 1) Utilizzare il mezzo cinematografico per diffondere e far conoscere le differenti culture e identità che convivono nell’ area mediterranea. 2) Far conoscere le produzioni cinematografiche minori, opere di registi emergenti che hanno un grande valore culturale. 3) Porre l’attenzione sui temi dei 17 SDG, gli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile; diffondendone i principi, gli strumenti e gli impegni individuali che ogni cittadino e Stato firmatario può assumersi per il loro raggiungimento. Med-Limes “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo” si rivolge ai popoli del Mediterraneo ma in senso più ampio a tutti i popoli del mondo. In particolar modo alle giovani generazioni che bisogna educare ai temi del rispetto del prossimo e dell’ambiente. ENGLISH Med-Limes "At the borders of the Mediterranean Sea", Images and Stories of the borders of the Mediterranean Sea is an International Short Film Festival promoted by FONMED – “Fondazione Sud per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo nel Mediterraneo” - which will take place in Salerno from 04 al 06 June 2021 fourth edition Med-Limes "at the borders of the Mediterranean Sea" focuses on hot topics of our era. The drama of immigration, the scarcity of water resources and food products, to meet the needs of millions of individuals, the discrimination against other cultures are the themes and contents on which are based the film productions invited to participate in the event. The themes of the Short Film Exhibition are the 17 Stustainable Development Goals that were designed by the United Nations as part of a sustainable development program destined to improve the life of all the people of the planet in a universal, inclusive and indivisible way. We decided upon the format of the independent short film because it seemed more suited to the themes that the festival has chosen to treat. Racial Discrimination, pollution of the environment, food shortages are topics that will enable either emerging filmmakers or established directors to create interlaces that will make people think and be more aware. Despite the crisis that the cinema industry has been going through in recent decades, it still remains very strong in its communicative power. It is a direct source of emotions, feelings, and manages to convey messages dense in content. The general objectives that the International Exhibition of the Short Film Med-Limes "at the borders of the Mediterranean Sea” proposes to pursue are: 1) The use of the medium of cinema to spread and make known the different cultures and identities that coexist in the Mediterranean area. 2) The promotion of works by emerging filmmakers who have a great cultural value. 3) Focus on the themes of the 17 SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals; spreading the principles, tools and individual commitments that each citizen and signatory state can take to achieve them. Med-Limes "At the borders of the Mediterranean Sea" is addressed not only to the people who live in the Mediterranean area but also to all the people of the world, and to the young generations that need to be educated to the themes of respect for others and the environment.
