Participation signifies acceptance of these regulations and the preliminary selection conditions.

1. Eligibility
Every director must be, or must have been, a student at a French university or school and must have been strictly under 30 when the submitted film was shot. Supporting documents are required. All co-directors must meet these conditions. Each director may submit only one film. Films must be completed after 1 January 2025, run no more than 30 minutes including credits, and be in French or have French subtitles. Directors, performers and technicians must not be members of TéléSorbonne or festival volunteers. A film may enter only one competition: Animation, Music Video, Documentary, Experimental or Fiction.

2. Rights
Directors must own their films and hold all literary, dramatic and musical rights. They indemnify TéléSorbonne against claims or legal proceedings concerning presentation of the film. Participation in the official selection grants the festival, free of charge, the right to screen the complete work at the festival’s in-person cinema screenings. It also grants, for one year, the right to use images and extracts for promotion in newspapers, radio, television, posters, flyers, websites and social networks associated with the festival. Extracts may not exceed 10% of the total running time or three minutes. A selected film cannot be withdrawn during the event, except under particular circumstances.

3. Entry
Entries are submitted through FilmFestPlatform between 16 January and 2 March 2026. Directors must attach a copy of their student card or proof of enrolment. A statement of intent of no more than one page is recommended.

4. Selection committee
TéléSorbonne’s board appoints a committee to view submissions and choose the official selection. It consists mainly of association members, including at least one board member, together with festival volunteers and outside volunteers, particularly students, to support impartiality. Anyone who submits a short film cannot sit on the committee. The committee’s decisions are final.

5. Official selection
Selection results are announced on the festival website by 30 March 2026 and also published on its social networks. TéléSorbonne does not undertake to notify unsuccessful applicants. Selected directors are informed by email or telephone and must provide the organisers with telephone, postal, email and social-network contact details for their artistic and technical teams.

6. Juries and awards
The organisers appoint a jury for each competition, composed of professionals, university teachers and/or other personalities. Students and young cinema enthusiasts may join these juries or form a separate jury. Anyone with an interest in producing or exploiting a competing film cannot serve on its jury. Festival staff and TéléSorbonne board members may attend deliberations but cannot vote. Jury decisions are final. Juries and audiences award prizes in each category; additional prizes or mentions may also be awarded. Prize endowments depend on partnerships and sponsorships and are announced separately. Winners and distributors must display the award wording on their publicity materials in accordance with the festival’s graphic identity guidelines.

7. Unforeseen circumstances
TéléSorbonne’s board decides cases not covered by these regulations.","https://festival-courtechelle.fr/",[44,48,52,56,59
"Email","contact@festival-courtechelle.fr","General festival enquiries
"Address","TéléSorbonne, Maison des Initiatives Etudiantes, 50 rue des Tournelles, 75003 Paris, France","Festival organiser
"Website","https://www.filmfestplatform.com/fr/festival/157","Official submission platform and regulations
"https://www.instagram.com/festivalcourtechelle","Official Instagram
"https://www.facebook.com/festivalcourtechelle","Official Facebook",1792507817]
