Monologues & Poetry International is pleased to provide a platform for strong word-based performances with the skillful expression of thoughts, emotions, feelings, anxieties, or humor.
Monologues & Poetry International offers a live screening; however, while we have a live event scheduled, we are at the mercy of the Covid-19 virus or any new virus variants. In the event, we are still faced with problems come November, the live event may be postponed. However, our jurors are still hard at work reviewing your films. In the event of a postponement of the live screening, winning films will appear in a private, pay-to-view online screening event that will not be open to the public-at-large, only to paying attendees. Winning films will be announced in November. Again, this would be a private paid-to-view festival with a reasonable low-cost viewing fee to the public and free to all selected filmmakers. All selected films will be announced on our website for the live screening event and will screen at a later live event in the event of a postponement. The screening reel will also be shown on Vallejo Community Access Television and additional community access television stations. See notes under Rules & Terms.
We look forward to receiving your submissions. The festival submission period culminates with one live annual screening (online if the COVID-19 environment persists).
