Museum Talkies International Film Festival

MTIFF's mission is to foreground the importance of film and its impact on social change and promote the work of filmmakers as agents of social change. The festival showcases the world’s best filmmakers as well as provides a platform for new talent from around the world to launch their work. The Kerala Museum has a 35-year long track record as a non-governmental initiative providing authentic learning experiences in history, fine arts and performing arts. Today the Museum is a vibrant arts venue powered by in-house curations, collaborations with other arts-based organizations and participatory audiences. The Museum is managed by the Madhavan Nayar Foundation. Its core objective is to provide interactive, engaging and experiential arts-based learning that places the understanding of the individual within the larger context of community and history. Through its programs, it aims to actualize the potential of the “Museum as an instrument of social change” thereby impacting critical thinking, tolerance towards the world around us and better citizenship. The Kerala Museum Film Society is called the Museum Talkies. It holds screenings, discussions and meet and greet sessions with film persons and film buffs.
