What is NYCDFF? https://youtu.be/Kd3VtlBmmtM The New York City Drone Film Festival is the world’s first event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of drone cinematography. Now in its 5th year, NYCDFF provides a platform for aerial filmmakers to showcase their work (shot anywhere in the world), emphasizing innovative flight technique, aesthetic beauty, and more. Director and aerial cinematographer Randy Scott Slavin founded the Festival in 2014 with a desire to change the perceptions of drones. "I'm tired of drones being synonymous with questionable legality, FAA regulation...I want to celebrate the art of aerial cinematography". Our festival program is hand selected by a jury made up of creative, media and technical professionals as well as established drone cinematographers. Festival selections will be announced on or around January 22, 2019. All entrants will be posted at www.nycdronefilmfestival.com and notified by email. If selected, exhibition format digital files will be requested from the filmmakers.
