NanJing International Film Festival

The Nanjing International Film Festival, held in the culturally rich city of Nanjing, is a prestigious event that encompasses various aspects of the film industry, including film proposals, competitive units, venture capital, red carpet events, screenings, and forums. This festival, which is highly influential in China, aims to enhance international cultural exchanges and cooperation, foster the growth of the film industry, and stimulate creative filmmaking.

The festival welcomes films of all genres from around the globe, such as feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films, and commercials. Its competitive units have established a highly professional business system that includes screen exhibitions, master classes, forums, venture capital initiatives, film reviews, award ceremonies, and numerous other activities.

Since its inaugural event in 2018, the Nanjing International Film Festival has been held successfully for three consecutive years. It has attracted 2,632 films from 61 countries and regions across six continents and has drawn over 2,000 general audiences, industry representatives, and special guests to participate in various festival activities.

As an international professional festival, the Nanjing International Film Festival places significant emphasis on international cooperation and exchange. It has forged friendly cooperative relationships with more than 30 renowned international professional film festivals and institutions and has integrated itself into the international film festival market system.

The 2019 Nanjing International Film Festival nurtured and supported a group of emerging directors both domestically and internationally. More than 95 young directors gained international co-production financing or referral opportunities through this exchange platform, significantly enhancing public awareness and popularity of these young directors.

The Nanjing International Film Festival serves as a platform for young directors worldwide. Each year, the festival is initially held in cultural centers, small theaters, and event spaces throughout Nanjing before touring different cities across China.
