Prato Film Festival is a project dedicated to Cinema and the International Comedy.
This festival, which has multiple intentions, is also realized because of the need of our town of innovation as for cultural events related to the Cinema or the Creative Visual Art, the “seventh art”.
We believe that Prato deserves this uniqueness (festival for first and second works) as it has given birth to many prominent figures that have marked, and continue to do so today, the Italian and international cinema.
Prato Film Festival this year will include both short films and feature films. In fact, there will be five sections of short films in competition: Human Rights, Short Italy, Short World, Tuscan Authors and Environment.
With this project we intend to achieve an international event that would give visibility and value to all those talented authors that today represent the Cinema. The Prato Film Festival is dedicated to two great comedy script-writers Piero De Bernardi, born in Prato, and Leo Benvenuti born in Florence. The admission to the festival and the exhibition is free.
