The People's Public Media Awards of Excellence

The Public Media Award of Excellence! - created ‘For’ the Producer ‘By’ the Producers, honors Independent Producers on Public & Cable Access Television throughout the nation. We recognize Independent Producers and the hard work and commitment that goes into producing original programs and it is our goal to celebrate them. This festival consists of screenings, keynote speakers, panel discussions and after party events. ONLY PROGRAMS THAT CURRENTLY BROADCAST ON PUBLIC ACCESS and/or CABLE ACCESS TV will be considered for recognition in several categories. All Independent Producers are welcome to submit their shows. We are looking for programs produced by Independent Producers who broadcast on Public and Cable Access channels that integrate multiple digital platforms using today's new media & technology (see categories). The Public Media Awards is a new addition to the People's Film Festival which is an initiative of The People’s Media Music & Arts Foundation (TPMMAF) —a non-profit organization whose objective is to promote awareness in independent music, media and art across the globe while encouraging those to develop a greater appreciation and understanding for cultural diversity in film, media, music & art.
