Rabat-Comedy International Film Festival

The Rabat-Comedy International Film Festival is the first film festival in Africa and in the Arab world exclusively dedicated to the comedy genre. In this regard, we are looking for unique feature and short comedy films from around the world. In addition to the official selection, out-of- competition screenings will be also organized as well as meetings with film directors, professional training sessions and conferences related to comedy in cinema. Since March 12th, 2020, and following the COVID19 pandemic, the Moroccan authorities have banned the organization of cinematographic meetings and the screening of films in theaters until further notice. Therefore, the 2nd edition will no longer be held between December 12th and 19th, 2020. The festival's steering committee has decided to postpone the organization of the festival to June 19th, 2021 until June 26th, 2021, if sanitary conditions will allow it. The possibility of submitting films to the festival remains therefore open until April 17, 2021.. (En français) Le Festival International du Film Rabat-Comedy est le premier festival de cinéma en Afrique et dans le monde Arabe exclusivement dédié au genre comédie . Dans ce sens, nous sommes à la recherche de films de comédie uniques, provenant du monde entier. En marge des projections de la sélection officielle, nous organiserons aussi des projections de film hors-compétition ainsi que des rencontres avec les réalisateurs , des formations professionnelles et des conférences qui traitent du cinéma de comédie. Depuis le 12 mars 2020, et suite à la pandémie du COVID19, les autorités Marocaines ont interdit l'organisation de rencontres cinématographiques et la projection de films dans les salles jusqu'à nouvel ordre. Pa conséquent, la 2ème édition ne pourra plus se tenir entre le 12 et 19 décembre 2020. Le comité directeur du festival a décidé de reporter l'organisation du festival au 19 juin 2021 jusqu'au 26 juin 2021, si les conditions sanitaires le permettent. La possibilité de soumettre des films au festival reste donc ouverte jusqu'au 17 Avril 2021.
