Assemble a team of your most creative friends to spend a frenzied 24 hours (that’s 1440 minutes!) making a 3-minute or shorter film. Ready to learn more? Challenge Details DATES November 6: Get the prompt, line and comedy genre that need to be included in your film via Instagram Live at 7pm with an email to follow November 7: Write, shoot, edit, and upload your film to Dropbox by 7pm November 8: Join us for a reception at 1:30pm and watch your film on the big screen at 2pm at Columbia College (1104 S Wabash, 3rd Floor) in the hub of downtown REGISTRATION There’s no limit to the amount of people you can have on your team. Register Your Team $50/team: Early Bird Registration deadline August 1st $60/team: Regular Registration deadline September 1st $70/team: Late Registration deadline November 7 by 5pm JUDGING + PRIZES So, what’s all of this for? Well, the winning team gets their film screened during a prime shorts program at the Chicago Comedy Film Festival 2021 and 4 VIP passes to the fest. CCFF brings in filmmakers worldwide to champion strong comedic voices in storytelling. To date, CCFF has screened over 600 films. Films will be judged during the screening on November 10 and the winner will be announced then and there. Each team’s film will be available to stream on the CCFF website for a limited time with a chance to win the Audience Favorite Award. The film with the most donations will win and have a chance to be screened at the Chicago Comedy Film Festival and will get 2 VIP passes to the fest. Judges: TBA SCREENING Tickets for the screening on November 8 will be available online and at the door for $5. Participating teams will receive 4 complimentary tickets to be used at their discretion. Additional tickets may be purchased. This event is open the public. There will be a red carpet reception at 1:30pm with the screening to follow at 2pm. Snacks and water provided!
