THE REAL TO REEL GLOBAL YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL IS A GLOBAL COMPETITION THAT HONORS YOUTH WHO MAKE ORIGINAL AND UNIQUE SHORT FILMS THAT ADDRESS AN ISSUE PLAGUING THEIR LOCAL OR GLOBAL COMMUNITY. WE SEEK YOUTH PARTICIPANTS WHO CREATIVELY EXPRESS THEIR VISION FOR POSITIVE CHANGE. Film is a universal language, spoken across the globe. Better Youth, Inc., believes the human experience is a collection of stories. In our third year, in addition to stories about social issues and affecting positive change, we are highlighting that focus on reunification. As a community, we need to stand together and stand strong as we overcome daily obstacles that can impede our ability to succeed. These stories can be found in our families, in our relationships, in our communities, across political boundaries and perhaps even within ourselves. "CHANGE" may mean something different to everyone. We all have our struggles, we’ve all been knocked down. However, whether we run, walk, or crawl, we need to keep going. It’s these stories that shape who we are as a nation, a gender, an individual. Its our collective impact that causes social change and justice for all.
