RIFF - Reykjavik International Film Festival

Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) is one of Iceland's largest and most diverse cultural events. Held over eleven days each autumn, it presents independent international cinema, introduces audiences to emerging filmmakers, and gives artistic, forward-looking and socially significant films a prominent platform. Its New Visions competition is devoted to first and second features, while the wider programme spans fiction, documentaries and shorts, Icelandic cinema, retrospectives, youth screenings, industry events and screenings in unconventional venues. RIFF also runs year-round screenings, filmmaking workshops and educational programmes for schools across Iceland. The 23rd edition takes place from September 24 to October 4, 2026.
