The 3rd International Debut Documentary Film Festival Rudnik will take place in Sviyazhsk (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) from 22 to 28 July, 2019.
Sviyazhsk is a small island between two rivers, surrounded by amazing nature. All festival screenings will take place in the open air courtyard of Sviyazhsk History Museum.
The festival program includes Competition and Non-competitive Section.
10-12 debut documentaries will be selected for the competition. Student films, or the first two professional films completed upon graduation from a film school, can qualify.
The festival's main objective is to offer a platform for creative dialogue between international film school students and graduates, and all documentary film aficionados.
The festival covers transportation expenses and provides accommodation on the island of Sviyazhsk for directors of films in competition.
The winners of the competition will be entitled for the cash prizes.
The Non-competitive Section includes lectures, retrospectives and special screenings. Also the Laboratory For Young Directors by Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov School of Documentary Film and Theatre will take place during the festival.
