San Francisco Latino Film Festival

The mission of San Francisco Latino Film Festival is to provide a platform for films made by US Latino, Latin American, or Iberian filmmakers- as well as films by and about Latinos. We showcase films with a distinctly Latin American/Latino experience or point of view. Cultural events like our community festival connect us to each other locally and across borders. To clarify, filmmakers don't necessarily have to be Latino to submit. However, we factor in key creative roles in the production (director, writers, producers) and on-screen meaning the cast of a narrative film or the subjects in a documentary. It's important that we see that representation on-screen. Entry parameters are wide with an emphasis on premieres. Films that have already played in a Bay Area festival will be considered, though priority is given to premieres of any form. (San Francisco, Bay Area, West Coast, etc.)
