Celebrating diversity in Grassroots filmmaking.
The Hooded Film Festival is dedicated to the idea that art brings us together.
It doesn't matter if your film cost ten, a hundred or a thousand pounds. Whether it was shot in your parents living room in Bradford or on the slopes of the Alps or in the streets of Bangladesh. It doesn't matter about where you come from, where you learned your craft, your race, sex or gender, orientation or identity.
We're looking for short films in all genres, so long as it's ethically produced and doesn't have a budget of more that £10,000. Your film doesn't have to have an ethical message, just has been produced at the grassroots level and supports diversity, equality, and fair opportunity in creating these wonderful stories.
Filmmakers who are accepted into the Festivals Event will have 2 free tickets for themselves, with cast and crew for each selected film having 50% discount on tickets for themselves, friends and family. Films who aren't successful in being screened at the event will have their films shown on our website and also receive a 50% discount on tickets if they wish to attend.
The screening will be accompanied by a live BSL interpreter.
Filmmakers who attend will have access to the Filmmakers Lounge to chat and network at the Savoy before and after screenings. Awards will be given out after the final session of the evening.
