The santipur international film festival (SIFF), organised by the santipur independent film forum, started in February 2020. Historically Santipur has an immense contribution in Bengali literature and culture. Through this festival(SIFF) we try to promote mostly independent and experimental cinema in various ways in our very own town. The festival, held over three days, does not charge any submission fees. Everyone is welcome to attend. The SIFF is a non-sponsored event which does not accept any governmental or corporate sponsorships. It runs solely on grassroots community support and donations made by individual supporters.
