The Screen It! International Film Festival began on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia in 2014 as an opportunity to showcase local films and filmmakers. This year Screen It will showcase not only Australian films, but international talents as well with its first online festival.
The Screen It Online Film Festival will run in September, 2022. For the first time the program will be offering a Kids Category, with films written or directed by kids under 12 years old.
Audiences will enjoy watching the top 10 finalist short films from Australia and around the world within the General, Student and Kids categories. Screen It Film Festival's mission is to support aspiring creative film makers and provide a platform for them to display their efforts among their peers to help motivate them to keep working and building up the industry for those of us who live and breathe the arts.
From drama to comedy (and everything in between) short films will be judged by a panel of industry experts and be allocated awards. The audience can also cast their vote during the festival for the Audience Choice Award.
If you have a short film from 10 - 15 minutes produced in the last four years, enter it into Screen It Film Festival Online and remember to #screenityourway.
We highly encourage entries from independent filmmakers and films with creative leads from under-represented backgrounds. We support equality and want to see that reflected in film.
