Siouxland Inspirational Short Film Festival

The second annual Siouxland Inspirational Film Festival will be screened at several locations during 2021-2022. Upcoming short film festival events will include the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center on Sunday, 16 February 2022. The first screening was held June 25-26, 2021, at the Scenic Park drive-in theater, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. On Friday, June 25, the festival featured 2 short films, the blockbuster Christian feature-length movie "Courageous" and several teasers for the Saturday night extravaganza. Saturday, June 26th, was our Short Film Festival. A list of selected short films was projected and the audience voted for their favorites. The Phantom Firebird, a classic car chase mystery, was the winner. A rainy weekend dampened attendance at the covid friendly drive-in film festival location. The Sioux City Senior Center will be scheduling a screening this fall and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center has a short film festival set for Sunday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Other venues may also be arranged. The goal of the Siouxland Inspirational Film Festival is to showcase short films that are inspiring, heartwarming, thought-provoking, family-friendly and entertaining. Our film festival seeks to be an alternative to the Hollywood sex, violence and immorality permeating much of the movie industry. We are looking for positive films with highly-moral characters, who are involved in plots exhibiting traditional Christian Values. English-spoken, clean-language short films are desired. The first Siouxland Inspirational Film Festival was held March 6-7, 2020 at the Heelan High School Auditorium, Sioux City, Iowa.
