Since 2005, the Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival has brought international films to Spokane that share Jewish life and culture with the community. Every year, the festival screens films that offer fascinating glimpses into the diversity of Jewish experiences in Israel and around the world. SJCFF is the Inland Northwest’s largest annual Jewish cultural event that is open to the public. The festival is meant to educate, entertain, and cultivate greater understanding of Jewish life, history, and tradition.
In 2022, the festival’s organizers will produce a hybrid festival -- with some in-person screenings and events and some virtual access to films and online-only events -- that once again spotlights outstanding Jewish-themed films. The festival will include post-film discussions, filmmaker Q&As, and other programming that provides context for and enriches understanding of each film.
