Smart Shorts Digital Film Festival

SMART SHORTS, Monterey County's first film festival dedicated to cell phones and tablets, is seeking innovative film submissions April 15 through July 31, 2019. Sponsored by the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts, SMART SHORTS encourages all filmmakers (ages 12 and older) to share their lives and express their artistic imagination through films created digitally on smartphones and tablets. This first-time festival desires to excite and promote filmmakers from Monterey County, the United States and around the world to produce a ground-breaking short film - 1 to 5 minutes in length - shot exclusively on a smartphone or tablet, submitted through FilmFreeway.com. All genres are welcome. Finalist will be notified after August 16, 2019. Awards and screening takes place September 13th and 14th, 2019 at the Carl Cherry Center Theatre located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
