Southern Gothic

Southern Gothic is a female run horror film festival dedicated to showcasing the talent of the independent film community. We proudly accept and welcome unique voices from all walks of life. The festival will take place in South Louisiana, land of dark swamps and home of the Rougarou, the Honey Island Swamp monster, the Grunch, and other sinister folkloric creatures. Filmmakers who attend will get the opportunity to network with other filmmakers during the fest. Hosted by the historical Cite' des Arts theatre and one of our talented queens in the Lafayette drag community, Miss Martini Bear! We will also have a Q&A session after every block so you will get to speak about your films to an audience of horror lovers! Even though the festival will be taking place in March, it will be Halloween themed and costumes are highly encouraged!!
