Spotlight Film Festival

Spotlight is a student-run charity film festival displaying short films from high school students across the Greater Toronto Area. Spotlight was founded in 2013 by Rebecca Baruch, a graduating student, whose goal was to create a platform for young filmmakers to share their work while bettering their community. The winner and runner-ups of the three categories, narrative, documentary, and experimental, receive a cash prize to fund their future film endeavours. This year we will be starting an international category so any high school aged students can submit films. The winner of this category will also receive a cash prize. PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT TO THIS FESTIVAL IF YOU ARE A CURRENT STUDENT AT A TORONTO HIGH SCHOOL, AND ALL FILM SUBMISSIONS NEED TO BE UNDER TEN MINUTES IN LENGTH.
